Early Childhood Development (ECD) in South Africa

This pamphlet serves as an introduction to the series on ECD. It focuses on what ECD is, why it is important, and what roles churches/communities could play in ECD initiatives.

This series was developed in association with Little Seeds, an initiative of Badisa. It focuses on various important topics related to Early Childhood Development (ECD) and is written by professionals who work with ECD initiatives. The series aims to equip caretakers, parents, grandparents, reverends, youth workers, social workers, and others involved in childcare and education. These pamphlets also acknowledge the significant role that churches play in communities and aim to inform and equip them as well.
