Parents: A child’s most important teacher

Parents are the key players in a child’s life as their first and most influential teachers. The parent-child relationship lays the foundation for a child’s growth, development and learning. This pamphlet examines why parents are considered a child’s most important teachers, focuses on the important role they play in early childhood development, and gives guidelines for how churches can support parents.

This series was developed in association with Little Seeds, an initiative of Badisa. It focuses on various important topics related to Early Childhood Development (ECD) and is written by professionals who work with ECD initiatives. The series aims to equip caretakers, parents, grandparents, reverends, youth workers, social workers, and others involved in childcare and education. These pamphlets also acknowledge the significant role that churches play in communities and aim to inform and equip them as well.
