- About the Editors This book brings together four editors – each contributing from their own area of expertise to shape a multidimensional and grounded ecotheological conversation.
- Jacques W. Beukes is Associate Professor of Christian Spirituality at the University of South Africa (UNISA). He holds a PhD in Practical Theology from Stellenbosch University. His research interests include diaconia, theology and development, eco-diaconia, ecotheology, and youth engagement. Beukes is actively involved in various ecumenical boards and theological societies. In recognition of his commitment to environmental justice and conservation, he was recently awarded the CLF-Elise Tempelhoff Prize, part of the Andrew Murray–Desmond Tutu Prize Fund.
- Fay van Eeden is a minister in the Dutch Reformed Church, serving the Stellastraat congregation in Pretoria. She is widely known for her accessible and practical writing on ecological theology, which bridges academic insight and everyday living. As an independent researcher, writer, and blogger, she has contributed to academic journals, local newspapers, and ecumenical initiatives. Her work reflects a deep commitment to sustainability, spiritual formation, and faith-in-action.
- Hassan Musa is a Senior Lecturer at ECWA Theological Seminary in Jos, Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Theology from Stellenbosch University and has served as a research associate at the Yale Center for Faith and Culture. His most recent book, Reading the Bible Anew: An Introduction to the Multidimensionality of Biblical Hermeneutics for African Contexts (CLF Publishers, 2024), reflects his ongoing commitment to contextual and critical biblical interpretation in Africa.
- Mias van Jaarsveld is the editor at CLF Publishers and served as managing editor of this volume. He holds a PhD in Practical Theology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, based on narrative and ethnographic research conducted in Zambia on gender-based violence and religious agency. He is a research fellow at the University of the Free State and has published both academic and popular works. His interests include contextual theology, storytelling, and the intersection of faith, justice, and lived experience.
